BALLARD JAZZ FESTIVAL

WED-SAT– Over 30 Jazz artists will be performing in this 4-day event. Something different every day… make sure to check out the schedule!

EDMONDS JAZZ CONNECTION 

SAT – A full day of performances from nationally recognized and award-winning High School and Middle School jazz programs from throughout the Pacific Northwest. Highlights numerous student groups that have performed in prestigious competitions nationwide.

ARMED FORCES DAY

SATJoint Base Lewis-McChord opens its gates to the public to celebrate Armed Forces Day with historical reenactments, military vehicles, music, entertainers, food vendors, a beer garden, and carnival rides.

SOUTH SOUND GREEN TOUR 

SAT-SUN – A free self-guided tour that gives you the chance to experience the best examples of sustainable green living that the South Sound has to offer. Green homes, buildings and businesses will be on display and staffed with experts from 11am – 5pm on May 19 in Olympia and May 20 in Tacoma.

VIKING FEST

FRI-SUN – Come celebrate Scandinavian heritage during this three-day event. Fun for the whole family, parade, carnival, music and much more.

SPRING FAIRY FESTIVAL

SAT – A celebration of art, music, performance and community. Designed to let people of all ages come together to express and enjoy one another’s creativity.

TOUCH A TRUCK

SUN – A family-centric event offers children a hands-on opportunity to explore working trucks of all types, as well as meet the people who build, protect, and serve the Seattle community.

PETPALOOZA  

SAT – Featuring an  animal-related entertainment stage, flydog and agility demos, pony rides, Mud Bay’s Northwest Pet Contest, an agility area, over 150 vendor booths, adoptions, low-cost animal services, giveaways and lots of activities to keep both humans and pets entertained.

BOTTLE BLOCK PARTY & BREWFEST

SAT – Sample beer from local breweries, eat at delicious locally-owned food trucks, and experience some of Seattle’s hottest up-and-coming bands while you connect with and Bothell/Seattle area beer and music lovers! 21+

MISFIT CABARET

Through May 26 – A splendiferous variety show centered around magical music with a rotating cast of eccentric performers. Each show is completely different with changing themes.

GIG HARBOR BEER FESTIVAL 

SAT – Featuring a wide variety of Northwest craft brewers offering event-goers a splendid mix of familiar favorites and new brews to taste plus live music and expanded festival area.

SEATTLE BEER WEEK

Through SUN – Celebrating all things beer with 200 events happening throughout Seattle at over 100 locations! Download the Seattle Beer Week App and have all the events at your fingertips!  

CHURCH & STATE

FRI-SUN – It’s three days before Charles Whitmore’s Senate re-election and he’s decided to finally tell the public exactly what’s on his mind, no filter. What could possibly go wrong, particularly when faith, politics, gun control and ‘The Twitter’ mix it up?

HAIRSPRAY

Through July 1 – This all-new stage production will be bursting with Village Theatre’s unique flair, as Hairspray gives new meaning to BIG entertainment.

HAND OF GOD    

Through June 3 – A dark puppet show exploring the startlingly fragile nature of faith, morality, and the ties that bind us.

STRING

Through SUN – A brand-new story with a mythological twist, this world premiere musical is a fun and fresh fable about fate, love, and the wonders of chocolate.

BANANAS

Through June 24  Seattle’s only underground and Parisian-inspired Bohemia becomes a steamy oasis beckoning warmer weather. Feast on a specially curated Pike Place Market-fresh menu and handcrafted cocktails as the Can Can Dance Company entertains – burlesque, comedy, song, cabaret, and more.

SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE

Through June 3  A warm and witty romance filled with music and farcical characters. The clever interweaving of references to Shakespeare’s other plays make it a joy for fans of the Bard.

RECURRING EVENTS:

MONA LISA HEIST
All Month – 165th Ave, Redmond: Take part in the most famous heist of the 20th century! An amazing adventure in the Louvre. Go through the security room, deactivating clever alarms and security systems. Get to the exhibit hall filled with ancient artifacts and paintings. Finally, steal the main exhibit piece, The Mona Lisa! Can you complete this mission in less than 60 minutes?

WINE & CHOCOLATE PAIRING
EVERY THURS, FRI, SAT – Sweet Decadence Wine & Chocolate Bar: This fun, casual and educational experience will help novice wine drinkers develop a new appreciation for different wines while more experienced wine drinkers can get a “grape” experience as well.

LASER LIGHT SHOWS
ALL MONTH – Experience the largest and longest operating domed laser theater in the world.

SEATTLE SMASH PUTT
All Month (FRI-SUN) – Putt-putt like you’ve never played it, going out with a bang in a funky new pop-up space in Downtown Seattle. Experience brand new crazy contraptions presented with a collection of your favorites from our nostalgic past! Pacific Science Center.

SEATTLE FARMERS MARKETS
Visit neighborhood farmers markets selling produce exclusively from Washington state farmers. Check out what’s going on at the Ballard, Madrona & Wallingford’s Farmer’s Markets.

TOURS & ACTIVITIES
ALL MONTH – Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Visitor Center: Through engaging and thought-provoking exhibits, parents and children dive into some of the world’s toughest challenges and learn how to act on their own ideas and solutions. Families can expect hands-on exhibits and spaces to create, explore, and discuss.
