SEATTLE EVENTS WEEKEND PLANNER

HOPS WITH POPS ON THE HARBOR

SAT – Enjoy classic views of Seattle’s historic waterfront and surrounding mountain ranges while sipping on a variety of local beers.  

FREMONT SOLSTICE PARADE 

SAT – Join more than 60 dazzling community-based ensembles parading down the streets of Fremont with giant puppets, stilt walkers, floats, dancers, cyclists and musicians in this kaleidoscope of joyous human expression.  

FREMONT FAIR

SAT-SUN – Featuring 300+ artists, craft vendors, live music on two stages, food booths, beer garden and more.

WASHINGTON BREWER’S FESTIVAL

FRI-SUN – A unique all-ages beer festival (Sat & Sun) where thousands of beer aficionados can sample more than 500 beers from 100 Washington breweries. In addition, the festival great food trucks, a live music stage, wine/cider and all-ages activities. 

POUR

SAT – A cool new summer wine party! This hip new wine tasting event features the wineries located within Seattle, all in one place. 

SOLSTICE NIGHT MARKET

SAT – Showcasing the best street food and artists! Makers, finders, foodies welcome! This year’s event includes a massive beer garden, free movie screening of The Goonies on the grass lawn, plus tons of street food.  

FENDERS ON FRONT STREET 

SUN – Stroll down Front Street and admire hundreds of vintage and classic cars and motorcycles. Enjoy live music, family activities, a trophy and award ceremony with MC Lance Lambert and an afternoon cruise to Triple XXX.

NORTHWEST RAILWAY MUSEUM    

SAT-SUN – Ride the Snoqualmie Valley Railroad aboard historic railroad coaches through the Upper Snoqualmie Valley along 5.5 miles of the original 1880s Seattle Lake Shore and Eastern Railway.  Dads ride free with a paying child Fathers Day weekend.

BELL HARBOR CLASSIC WEEKEND  

FRI-SUN – Over forty classic motor yachts, many of them built prior to World War II, will welcome visitors throughout this Father’s Day weekend. An excellent view of the yacht parade will be available from Myrtle Edwards Park or from any of the downtown piers between 2 and 4 pm.  

OLYMPIC AIR SHOW 

SAT-SUN – The skies above Olympia will be buzzing when the Olympic Air Show flies into town! Featuring many recognized aerobatic performers and aircraft, as well as heritage aircraft from the museum’s collection, featuring aircraft WWII, Korea and Vietnam eras.

MARYMOOR PARK CONCERTS 

Through September 9 – Enjoy big name acts in an open venue. Buy a seat or bring a blanket or chair.   

CONCERT AT THE LOCKS  

Through September 16 – Bring your picnic, sit in the lawn at Hiram Chittenden Locks and enjoy a concert.

YOU’RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN

Through SUNBased on the characters created by cartoonist Charles M. Schultz in his comic strip “Peanuts.” Seattle Musical Theatre’s representation of this popular musical will bring to life all of Schultz’s beloved characters.

SMOKED!

Through June 23Nordo’s spin on the Spaghetti Western returns with Ray Tagavilla channeling Clint Eastwood as an enigmatic stranger who comes to the town of Sauget. Includes a four course meal of nouveau chuckwagon cuisine.

LADY WINDERMERE’S FAN

Through June 23A comedy classic from Oscar Wilde will charm you with its cleverness and wit.

HAIRSPRAY

Through July 1 – This all-new stage production will be bursting with Village Theatre’s unique flair, as Hairspray gives new meaning to BIG entertainment.

BANANAS

Through June 24  Seattle’s only underground and Parisian-inspired Bohemia becomes a steamy oasis beckoning warmer weather. Feast on a specially curated Pike Place Market-fresh menu and handcrafted cocktails as the Can Can Dance Company entertains – burlesque, comedy, song, cabaret, and more.

RECURRING EVENTS:

MONA LISA HEIST
All Month – 165th Ave, Redmond: Take part in the most famous heist of the 20th century! An amazing adventure in the Louvre. Go through the security room, deactivating clever alarms and security systems. Get to the exhibit hall filled with ancient artifacts and paintings. Finally, steal the main exhibit piece, The Mona Lisa! Can you complete this mission in less than 60 minutes?

WINE & CHOCOLATE PAIRING
EVERY THURS, FRI, SAT – Sweet Decadence Wine & Chocolate Bar: This fun, casual and educational experience will help novice wine drinkers develop a new appreciation for different wines while more experienced wine drinkers can get a “grape” experience as well.

LASER LIGHT SHOWS
ALL MONTH – Experience the largest and longest operating domed laser theater in the world.

SEATTLE SMASH PUTT
All Month (FRI-SUN) – Putt-putt like you’ve never played it, going out with a bang in a funky new pop-up space in Downtown Seattle. Experience brand new crazy contraptions presented with a collection of your favorites from our nostalgic past! Pacific Science Center.

SEATTLE FARMERS MARKETS
Visit neighborhood farmers markets selling produce exclusively from Washington state farmers. Check out what’s going on at the Ballard, Madrona & Wallingford’s Farmer’s Markets.

TOURS & ACTIVITIES
ALL MONTH – Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Visitor Center: Through engaging and thought-provoking exhibits, parents and children dive into some of the world’s toughest challenges and learn how to act on their own ideas and solutions. Families can expect hands-on exhibits and spaces to create, explore, and discuss.
