SEATTLE INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW

THURS-SUNSeattle’s annual showcase of all that’s new in cars, trucks, exotics, supercars, electrics and all the latest models from the world’s automobile makers.

BEST OF THE NORTHWEST ART & FINE CRAFT SHOW

FRI-SUN – Featuring more than 100 of the area’s best artists and artisans.

THE WHISKEY EXTRAVAGANZA

THURS-SUN – Join fellow whisky enthusiasts in an exploration of a wide range of the most prestigious single malt, premium Scotch and other unique whiskies from around the world. Receive a special souvenir tasting glass to properly nose and sample whisky while indulging in delicious culinary pairings.

HOLIDAY WINE FEST

SAT-SUNHoliday Wine Fest promises a world-class lineup of wines, ciders, spirits, gourmet cuisine, and artisan vendors at Seattle Center Exhibition Hall.

OYSTER NEW YEAR

SAT30+ varieties of local oysters shucked to order, fresh seafood buffet, live music, and much more!

COWABUNGA

FRI-SUN – Enjoy everything beef, with something new every day! On Friday, watch Seattle chefs go head to head in cooking competitions, and enjoy live music and carnival games. Saturday features the grand tastings to delight all beef, cheese, yogurt, and ice cream lovers. Sunday brunch wraps up the event.

THE GREAT TRAIN SHOW

SAT-SUN – The nation’s only coast-to-coast model train show. The show is designed for the general public, modelers, hobbyists, families, and the just plain curious. Featuring hundreds of tables of trains and accessories for sale, huge operating exhibits, activities for kids, and more.

REINDEER FESTIVAL

Through December 24 – Bring the whole family to be the first to visit Santa’s reindeer, Dasher and Blitzen, do some holiday shopping, and see the nursery beautifully decorated for the season!

FREE NATIONAL PARKS DAY

SAT-SUN – Spend a beautiful fall day at any national park for free!

MR. POPPER’S PENGUINS

Through December 31 – Make your way to SCT this holiday season for a wintry treat, fit for the whole family. Fans of A Year with Frog and Toad and Harold and the Purple Crayon will love what is sure to be a new holiday classic.

WONDERLAND

Through January 28 – Seattle’s classic Winter show is back at Can Can Kitchen & Cabaret in the Historic Pike Place Market. A glittering parade of nostalgia, exploding with dance, laughter, and all the cheer of yesteryear.

SEATTLE INTERNATIONAL COMEDY COMPETITION

Through Nov 26 – 26 days, 22 shows, 18 venues, 32 comedians form the US, Canada, UK & Japan.

THE GOVERNMENT INSPECTOR

Through November 19 – When small town officials mistake an inventive clerk for an undercover inspector sent to root out corruption, the whole village flies into a tailspin. A comic web of bribery, lies, and rampaging self-delusion entangles everyone in chaos.

HER STORY

Through SUN – Enjoy works from three of the world’s best female choreographers set to music from Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho.

INTO THE WOODS

Through SUN – “Happily ever after” is just the beginning in this musical collision of the original Grimm fairytales. Featuring one of Sondheim’s most celebrated scores of music, this Tony and Drama Desk Award-winning musical will take you “into the woods, to get the thing, that makes it worth the journeying.”

EARSHOT JAZZ FESTIVAL

Through SUN – More than 50 distinctive concerts and events in venues all around the city. Bringing jazz greats from around the world into creative collaboration with area audiences and artists. Earshot celebrates Seattle’s place in the world of jazz with mainstage concerts by our award-winning student ensembles and a strong representation by our renowned resident artists.

Through November – Tours are tailored for an adult audience, and the topic changes monthly. See the calendar below for details. Tour groups gather in front of the Graham Visitors Center.

MONA LISA HEIST
All Month – 165th Ave, Redmond: Take part in the most famous heist of the 20th century! An amazing adventure in the Louvre. Go through the security room, deactivating clever alarms and security systems. Get to the exhibit hall filled with ancient artifacts and paintings. Finally, steal the main exhibit piece, The Mona Lisa! Can you complete this mission in less than 60 minutes?

WINE & CHOCOLATE PAIRING
EVERY THURS, FRI, SAT – Sweet Decadence Wine & Chocolate Bar: This fun, casual and educational experience will help novice wine drinkers develop a new appreciation for different wines while more experienced wine drinkers can get a “grape” experience as well.

LASER LIGHT SHOWS
ALL MONTH – Experience the largest and longest operating domed laser theater in the world.

SEATTLE SMASH PUTT
All Month (FRI-SUN) – Putt-putt like you’ve never played it, going out with a bang in a funky new pop-up space in Downtown Seattle. Experience brand new crazy contraptions presented with a collection of your favorites from our nostalgic past! Pacific Science Center.

SEATTLE FARMERS MARKETS
Visit neighborhood farmers markets selling produce exclusively from Washington state farmers. Check out what’s going on at the Ballard, Madrona & Wallingford’s Farmer’s Markets.

TOURS & ACTIVITIES
ALL MONTH – Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Visitor Center: Through engaging and thought-provoking exhibits, parents and children dive into some of the world’s toughest challenges and learn how to act on their own ideas and solutions. Families can expect hands-on exhibits and spaces to create, explore, and discuss.

BREW SEATTLE

FRI – The city’s largest local-breweries-only tasting event (with cideries too!) features breweries located within Seattle, tapping the local creativity popping up all over our Emerald City.

AMERICA’S LARGEST ANTIQUE & COLLECTIBLE SHOW

SAT-SUN – Shop through vintage items from the 1880s to the 1970s. Featuring 400 booths with items ranging from salt & pepper shakers to vintage slot machines. Collecting, decorating and wearing vintage has never been more popular, particularly with the emphasis on recycling and repurposing.

NORTHWEST ORCHID SOCIETY FALL SHOW & SALE

SAT-SUN – Featuring a variety of flowers and displays from NWOS members and other societies in the region. Local and visiting orchid vendors will be present with plants and supplies for sale. Society members will also be providing repotting services and hourly educational talks on orchids and growing advice for hobbyists.

GREEN BUILDING SLAM

FRI-SAT – Learn about 10 innovative, sustainable, high-performance “green” buildings that push the envelope in our built environment. Projects range from residential to multi-family to mixed use developments in the Seattle area.

SNOHOMISH BREWFEST

FRI-SAT – Featuring over 30 local craft brewers from the Pacific Northwest, showcasing 75 unique and specialty brews for tasting in an outstanding setting at Thomas Family Farm.

HEATHER TARTAN BALL & SILENT AUCTION

SAT – Don your Clan tartan and plan to attend an evening of Scottish entertainment with pipe bands, highland dancing, country dancing, ballroom dancing, and a Silent Auction.

Through SAT – The morgue holds what is considered to be the most horrifying unsolved crime in Seattle history. Venture through the halls and experience one of Seattle’s scariest haunted houses. Not suitable for kids under 12.

HALLOWEEN EVENTS:

HILLOWEEN

SAT – Indoor Halloween kid’s carnival full of circus-themed activities, carnival games, and live performances. Plus a costume parade and trick or treating!  

PUMPKIN BASH

SAT-SUN – Visit the Woodland Park Zoo for Family-friendly Boomazium fun including not-so-scary storytelling and puppet shows, trick or treating, activities and much more.

HALLOWEEN PARTY CRUISE

SAT – 3-hour party cruise on Lake Washington or Lake Union. Come dressed to stir up a little fright and win our costume contest. Leave normal at the dock and dance the night away to “Thriller“ and “Monster Mash!” 

HALLOWEEN STORYTELLING TRAIN

SAT-SUN – A fun celebration of Fall and Halloween—a great time for people of all ages!  Enjoy railroading Halloween stories, old fashioned cider pressing, other hands on activities, and much more.  

NIGHTMARE AT BEAVER LAKE

Through October 31 – The Seattle area’s largest indoor/outdoor haunted house. Fear follows as you wind through a trail of terror nearly a mile long that leads you to a dreadful haunted house.

NILE NIGHTMARES

Through October 31 – Face your worst nightmares in these various themed horror attractions. As you make your way through the Nile grounds, beware of the evils that lurk in the shadows. Survivors can catch their breath in our Food and Fear Garden featuring award-winning guest food trucks and classic treats, as well as frothy evil elixirs.

CARLETONS FARM FRIGHTS

Through October 31 – Enjoy shooting zombies from the paintball wagon ride then leave the paintball guns behind and navigate a dark cornfield infested with Zombies. Haunted Swamp (cornfield) with sounds, lights, props, etc.

THOMAS FAMILY FARM

Through October 31 – Have a seat on a custom hayride and arm yourselves with one of our paintball guns. Save Snohomish from being overrun by Zombies! Also enjoy a flashlight corn maze and haunted house!

CAMPFIRE: IMPROVED GHOST STORIES

THURS  – Take a trip back to the campfires of our childhood when talented storytellers spin spooky stories around the fire. Our improvisers gather true-life events from YOU and turn them into improvised campfire stories and hilarious scenes.

FRIGHT HOUSE STATION

Through October 31 – Presenting two updated and exciting haunted attractions. Begin your journey at THE REDEMPTION, Haunted Hollow’s spooky walk through the afterlife. If you survive, dare the nearly 15,000 square feet of SHADOWS through multiple themes designed to test your courage and sanity!

FRIGHT FEST

SAT-SUN – Thrill seekers will navigate through the park with more than 25 rides in the dark. Nightmares come to life in two bone-chilling haunted houses and one haunted trail through the woods. Little goblins head to Booville, a scare-free zone for children ages 12 and under, featuring spooky crafts and games.

HAUNTED WOODS

Through October 29 – A 35-minute creepy quest through the corn with around-the-corner, emotional roller coaster thrills through the forest.

STALKER FARMS

Thursdays through October 31 – Creating a haunt attraction experience that offers attendees the chance to delve into a horror entertainment that takes them far beyond the typical Halloween haunt attraction.

THIS IS HALLOWEEN

Through October 31 – An extravaganza of live orchestral music, cabaret, burlesque, and video projected sets inspired by Tim Burton’s “Nightmare Before Christmas.” Can Can’s finest dancers transform into spooky characters favorites such as Jack Skellington, Oogie Boogie, Lock, Shock, Barrel, and many more.

NON-HOLIDAY EVENTS:

FRI-SUN – Tea & fashion show, Murder Mystery and the all-star burlesque show, Shake That Brass. Plenty of entertainment, panels, merchants, artists and workshops to please the little mad scientist in all of us.

FRI-SUN – Three days filled with classes, panel discussions, tours and investigations of the paranormal.

SOUTH SOUND CRAFT BEER FESTIVAL 

SAT – Featuring 34 Washington breweries pouring over 150 Halloween themed and seasonal craft beers. Wear a costume and get an extra tasting token.

GREAT PUMPKIN BEER FEST

FRI-SAT – Enjoy 80+ pumpkin beers from near and far will be poured, including twenty or so from Elysian’s pumpkin-crazed brewers and their collaborators. KITSAP PENINSULA WATER TRAILS FESTIVAL

SAT-SUNTwo-day summer festival of food, music, games, sports & activities celebrating the majestic and diverse natural resources of the Kitsap Peninsula Water Trails. Multi-city events include: 50k triathlon, kayak race, waterfront bike ride, trail run, and family paddle.

MIDSOMER FESTIVAL

SAT-SUN – Portraying rural England in the year 1376, this festival is dedicated to offering the public powerful personal experiences of history, including multiple learning and performing arts opportunities. New summer games, crowning of the King & Queen, puppetry, magic, crafts, archery and much more.

SKANDIA MIDSOMMARFEST

SUN – A traditional Swedish celebration of the summer solstice, recreated in as authentic a manner as possible, complete with the  raising of a garlanded Midsommar pole, a serpentine dance around the pole, and hundreds of costumed musicians and dancers—traditions practiced in Sweden for centuries.

GREENWOOD CAR SHOW

SHORELINE ARTS FESTIVAL

WED-SUN – Exploring the role of improvisation in presenting everyday lives and politics on all levels. How can we improvisers use our tools to tell stories that reflect our world today?

SAT-SUN – Celebrate the positive diversity of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and trans communities, and to assist in the education of all people through the development of activities that showcase the history, accomplishments, and talents of these communities.  Parade kicks off Sunday at 11AM.

URBAN CRAFT UPRISING SUMMER SHOW

SAT-SUN – Seattle’s largest indie craft show! Through SAT – The infamous, historic venue will transform into a doo-wop ice cream shop. THE LEGEND OF GEORGIA MCBRIDE

Through July 2 – A music-filled comedy about finding your true voice in an unexpected place. A heartwarming tale explores what happens when one man trades in his blue suede shoes for platform pumps and discovers he ain’t nothing but a drag queen.
