SEATTLE CHAMBER MUSIC SOCIETY: WINTER FESTIVAL

FRI-SUN & January 26-28 – Enjoy beautiful chamber music at Benaroya Hall. Free recitals before each show.     

SEATTLE FESTIVAL ORCHESTRA

FRI-SUN – Performing works by Mozart, Beethoven & Mendelssohn.  

GREAT TRAIN SHOW

FRI-SUN – The nation’s only coast-to-coast model train show. The show is designed for the general public, modelers, hobbyists, families, and the just plain curious. Each show features hundreds of tables of trains and accessories for sale, huge operating exhibits, activities for kids, and more.

TACOMA RV SHOW

THURS-SUN  Giving you the opportunity to see hundreds of the latest makes and models. RV enthusiasts of all stripes come to this event to shop for closeouts, pre-owned, and to get their first look at the new models, buy accessories and scout out resorts and campgrounds.

DARK BEER & CHILI COMPETITION

SAT – Craft brewer’s from around Washington compete for the title and honor of having the best dark beer and chili. The winners are chosen by you, so make sure you vote!

EMERALD CITY TRAPEZE ARTS: STUDENTS SHOW 

SAT – Featuring Emerald City Trapeze students of all ages performing fully choreographed acts. Get ready for high-flying fun on the ground and in the air! See some of our very best amp up the tricks, the air, and the style with their creative and genius skills!

COLLEGE BASKETBALL

THURS & SAT – Women play at Seattle University. Discount tickets $3.

SEXY MOZART OPERA

SAT through January 27 – Two teenage men bet they can disguise themselves and seduce each other’s fiancées in the racy opera Così fan tutte at McCaw Hall. Discount tickets $69 to $99.

COTTON GIN: A PUPPET SHOW FOR GROWN-UPS

Through February 17 – Rowdy, bawdy puppets, worn out from entertaining children, hang out at the Cotton Gin bar and entertain you with songs and jokes in this improv show.  

NEWSIES

Through February 4 – Sure to be one of the most spectacular dance shows in Village Theatre history, this high-energy Disney musical combines Broadway-caliber entertainment with the story and tunes from the beloved cult-classic film.  

DISRUPTION

Through January 27 – It includes works from many artists exhibiting on Vashon for the first time. Fourteen artists will display their art with interpretations ranging from political to formal and style from representational to purely abstract.  

WONDERLAND

Through January 28 – Seattle’s classic Winter show is back at Can Can Kitchen & Cabaret in the Historic Pike Place Market. A glittering parade of nostalgia, exploding with dance, laughter, and all the cheer of yesteryear.

RECURRING EVENTS:

MONA LISA HEIST
All Month – 165th Ave, Redmond: Take part in the most famous heist of the 20th century! An amazing adventure in the Louvre. Go through the security room, deactivating clever alarms and security systems. Get to the exhibit hall filled with ancient artifacts and paintings. Finally, steal the main exhibit piece, The Mona Lisa! Can you complete this mission in less than 60 minutes?

WINE & CHOCOLATE PAIRING
EVERY THURS, FRI, SAT – Sweet Decadence Wine & Chocolate Bar: This fun, casual and educational experience will help novice wine drinkers develop a new appreciation for different wines while more experienced wine drinkers can get a “grape” experience as well.

LASER LIGHT SHOWS
ALL MONTH – Experience the largest and longest operating domed laser theater in the world.

SEATTLE SMASH PUTT
All Month (FRI-SUN) – Putt-putt like you’ve never played it, going out with a bang in a funky new pop-up space in Downtown Seattle. Experience brand new crazy contraptions presented with a collection of your favorites from our nostalgic past! Pacific Science Center.

SEATTLE FARMERS MARKETS
Visit neighborhood farmers markets selling produce exclusively from Washington state farmers. Check out what’s going on at the Ballard, Madrona & Wallingford’s Farmer’s Markets.

TOURS & ACTIVITIES
ALL MONTH – Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Visitor Center: Through engaging and thought-provoking exhibits, parents and children dive into some of the world’s toughest challenges and learn how to act on their own ideas and solutions. Families can expect hands-on exhibits and spaces to create, explore, and discuss.
