4TH OF JULY FIREWORKS & PARADES

TUESIndependence Day is almost here, and there are plenty of events planned around the region. Events include fireworks, parades, festivals, live music and other entertainment for the whole family.

TACOMA FREEDOM FAIR & AIRSHOW

SAT-MON – Located on two miles of pristine waterfront, this festival has repeatedly been recognized as one of the top July 4th Celebrations in the United States! This 4-day destination event boast 7 stages, an air show, multiple car shows, Camp Patriot dedicated to honoring our military heroes, an international food marketplace, a media day and a pilot’s VIP Reception.

SEAFAIR SUMMER FOURTH

TUES – A day full of fun at Gas Works Park and Lake Union Park, which boast the best views of our fireworks show over Lake Union. Both locations include FREE general admission to the public as well as reserved seating available for purchase, guaranteeing fantastic views of the fireworks.

NATURALIZATION CEREMONY

TUESWatch the swearing in of over 500 candidates from more than 80 countries as new citizens of the United States of America. It is an important day for the new citizens, who come from diverse cultures across the globe to make the United States—and the Seattle area—their new home.

GRAND OLD FOURTH OF JULY IN BAINBRIDGE

TUES – Enjoy entertainment from sunup to sundown! Pancake breakfast, street fair, car show, pony ride, fireworks show and so much more!

BELLEVUE FOUR ON THE 4TH DOG JOG & WALK

TUES – A non-competitive 4K event that starts and finishes near Ashwood Park in Downtown Bellevue and benefits Seattle Humane in Bellevue.

PIKE PLACE EXPANSION GRAND OPENING

THURS – Celebrate the much anticipated opening of the new MarketFront! Throughout the event you can explore the new space, aided by a MarketFront Passport activity and walking map. The MarketFront Passport activity features interactive stops—visit new MarketFront vendors, public art installations, craft demonstrations, The Market Commons, and the Market Charm fence!

BEER CAMP ON TOUR

SAT – Hundreds of craft beers, the city’s best food trucks, live music and good times.

LAKE UNION WOODEN BOAT FESTIVAL

SAT-TUES – Celebrate the maritime heritage of the Northwest, putting tools in hands and getting people out on the water in historic wooden boats. An old-fashioned, down-home waterfront event where everything is fun and most things are free.

WORLD NAKED BIKE RIDE

SAT JULY 1 & 8Worldwide bike ride that highlights the vulnerability of cyclists everywhere and decries society’s dependence on pollution-based transport. It’s also a lot of fun and it’s free for all!

STAR SPANGLED SPECTACULAR

MON – Join the Seattle Wind Symphony for their 5th annual STAR-SPANGLED SPECTACULAR—this year more spectacular than ever. The concert will be a giant “Birthday Party for America” and will feature your favorite patriotic tunes.

NIGHT AT THE NEPTUNE

Through August 10 – A series of free summer performances at The Neptune in Seattle that focuses on showcasing local artists’ work as it relates to race and social justice.

THE LEGEND OF GEORGIA MCBRIDE

Through SUN – A music-filled comedy about finding your true voice in an unexpected place. A heartwarming tale explores what happens when one man trades in his blue suede shoes for platform pumps and discovers he ain’t nothing but a drag queen.

CONCERTS AT THE LOCKS

Through September 16 – Enjoy summer concerts on the lawn at the Hiram M Chittenden Locks.

DREAMGIRLS

Through SUN – Celebrates the advent of R&B in the 1960s with a Motown-inspired score, dynamic performances, and a moving look behind-the-scenes of the entertainment business. Experience all the onstage joy and backstage drama as an up-and-coming girl group learns hard lessons about love, trust, and what it takes to get to the top.

FREE WEEKEND WALKS

Through November – Tours are tailored for an adult audience, and the topic changes monthly. See the calendar below for details. Tour groups gather in front of the Graham Visitors Center.

MONA LISA HEIST
All Month – 165th Ave, Redmond: Take part in the most famous heist of the 20th century! An amazing adventure in the Louvre. Go through the security room, deactivating clever alarms and security systems. Get to the exhibit hall filled with ancient artifacts and paintings. Finally, steal the main exhibit piece, The Mona Lisa! Can you complete this mission in less than 60 minutes?

WINE & CHOCOLATE PAIRING
Every Thursday, Friday & Saturday
– Sweet Decadence Wine & Chocolate Bar: This fun, casual and educational experience will help novice wine drinkers develop a new appreciation for different wines while more experienced wine drinkers can get a “grape” experience as well.

LASER LIGHT SHOWS
All Month
– At the Pacific Science Center. Experience the largest and longest operating domed laser theater in the world.

SEATTLE SMASH PUTT

All Month (FRI-SUN) – Putt-putt like you’ve never played it, going out with a bang in a funky new pop-up space in Downtown Seattle. Experience brand new crazy contraptions presented with a collection of your favorites from our nostalgic past! Pacific Science Center.

SCAVENGER HUNT ADVENTURE
All Month
– Enjoy this interactive scavenger hunt that takes you on a journey to see the best sights in the city while feeling like you are on the Amazing Race.

TOURS & ACTIVITIES
All Month
– at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Visitor Center. Through engaging and thought-provoking exhibits, allows parents and children to dive into some of the world’s toughest challenges and learn how to act on their own ideas and solutions. Families can expect hands-on exhibits and spaces to create, explore, and discuss.
