KENTUCKY DERBY PARTY

ART SHOW
THROUGH MAY 10 – The Cornish College of the Arts hosts a student showcase of the BFA graduating seniors exhibition in film, design, art, and interior architecture.

GAME FESTIVAL
SAT – Try out new games at The Indie Game Festival, vote for your favorites, and talk with gamers.

BACON & BEER FEST
SAT – Enjoy craft beer paired with bacon-inspired treats and local restaurants featuring live music and games.

CINCO DE MAYO
SAT – Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with the community and enjoy authentic cuisine, live music, children’s activities, and a craft fair at El Centro de la Raza.

GREEN HOME TOUR
SAT – This self-guided Northwest Green Home Tour offers ideas and inspiration on smart and sustainably built homes.

MEDIEVAL FESTIVAL
SAT-SUN – The Camlann Medieval Village in Carnation hosts crafts, musicians, delicious food, and Mayday games.

TACOMA CITY MARATHON
SAT-SUN – Head to the Puget Sound’s most popular weekend running festival with a loop marathon and a half marathon. Choose from a 5K or a 50K to win that medal waiting for you at the Point Ruston finish line.

CHILDREN’S DAY FESTIVAL
SUN – The Children’s Day Festival hosts martial arts, a tea ceremony, and hands-on activities for the whole family at the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Washington.

VR EXPERIENCE
FRI – The Goethe Pop Up allows participants to experience the 1920’s building of Dessau, Germany. View architectural interior, inhabit the dorms and engage with experimental performance in a stage workshop.

ANNUAL PLANT SALE
FRI – Enjoy a night of appetizers, wine, and dessert while picking out plants from annuals, perennials, shrubs, vegetables, and herbs.

THROUGH MAY 11 – The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Visitor Center hosts an exhibition demonstrating design innovation and how it’s improving our lives with clean water, education, shelter, and health care.                    

JITTERBUG PERFUME
THROUGH MAY 12 – This dinner show follows the battle of two perfumiers over Pan’s bottle, spilling the past, present, and future onto your table in an exciting and thrilling theatrical performance.

SHAKESPEARE COMEDY
THROUGH MAY 19 As You Like It is a romantic comedy of misunderstanding and mischief mixed with poetry, at Center Theatre.

HEROES OF BAVARIA
THROUGH MAY 31 Heroes of Bavaria features 17 rare exhibits of historically significant BMW Motorsports, memorabilia, and artifacts.

APA SCIENCE FICTION
THROUGH SEPT 15 – The expanding universe of Asian Pacific Americans and their influence on Sci-Fi takes a deep dive into actors, artists, writers, animators and more. Get your tickets and head to the Wing Luke Museum.
