GREAT FIGGY PUDDING CAROLING COMPETITION

FRI  Immerse yourself in the holiday spirit as dozens of caroling teams sing their hearts out on downtown Seattle street corners in and around Westlake Center. The top teams then compete in a sing-off on the Figgy Main Stage.

WINTER BEER FEST

FRI-SAT  This holiday tasting event benefits the Washington Brewers Guild and will feature more than 50 local breweries. This year’s beer lineup will include dark malty stouts, robust winter warmers, barrel-aged gems and many more unique beers.

URBAN CRAFT UPRISING WINTER SHOW

SAT-SUN  Featuring over 150 vendors excelling in the world of craft, art, and design.  Choose from a wide variety of hand-crafted goods, including clothing of all types, jewelry, gifts, bags, wallets, buttons, accessories, aprons, children’s goods, toys, housewares, furniture, paper goods, candles, kits, geekery, art, food, and much, much more.

REDMOND LIGHTS

SAT  Redmond Lights celebrates the City’s diverse holiday traditions, cultures, and faiths. Experience this three part, progressive event, by starting at the City Hall Campus Tree Lighting; strolling down the Redmond Central Connector Luminary Walk; and ending the evening at Redmond Town Center. Along the way enjoy musical entertainment, refreshments, and fun activities for the whole family. 

K-9 CANDY CANE 5K RUN AND WALK

SUN  Runners and walkers travel along the paved beautiful Cedar River Trail before looping back to the Community Center. Competitive runners, fun runners, walkers and families (with or without) dogs are all invited.  

 A VICTORIAN COUNTRY CHRISTMAS

WED-SUN  Shop in over 500 stores and find the perfect gift for everyone on your list.  Enjoy gourmet food, wine, and delicious treats throughout the festival! Visit two beautiful theaters and see countless professional stage shows, The Singing Nativity, and concerts!  

WINTERFEST

Through January 1 – Connect to a world of sparkling lights, child-sized amusements and spirited entertainment. Five weeks of festive, fun-filled, free and affordable activities await those in search of uplifting seasonal spirit or delightful diversion from the hustle and bustle of the holiday routine.

CHRISTMAS SHIP FESTIVAL

Through December 23 – Set sail on The Spirit of Seattle decorated with hundreds of shimmery white lights and sails to different Puget Sound waterfront communities – around 65 in all. Choirs on board the Christmas Ship™ perform to guests aboard and those communities gathered on shore.

GINGERBREAD VILLAGE

Through January 1 – Stroll through Seattle’s cobblestone past and glimpse into its future, reflecting on what makes the city special. Seattle’s top architecture firms, master builders, and Sheraton Seattle culinary teams have come together to rediscover the city’s historic past and imagine the future, including its waterfront.

WILDLIGHTS  

Through January 1 – Seattle’s wildest holiday lights festival returns with sparkling lights, faux snowball fights, Santa, his reindeer, and family delights.

GARDEN D’LIGHTS

Through December 31 – Featuring over half a million sparkling lights formed into the whimsical shapes of plants, flowers, birds, animals, and cascading waterfalls set amid the natural beauty of the Bellevue Botanical Garden.

ZOO LIGHTS

Through January 1 – See the Zoo transformed into a colorful winter wonderland with more than a half-million lights. The holiday spirit comes aglow in this magical world of dazzling 3D animal light displays.

SANTA TRAIN

Through December 17 – Enjoy a two-hour roundtrip excursion from North Bend to Snoqualmie. De-train at Snoqualmie Depot and enjoy refreshments served from the railway kitchen car. Guests visit with Santa in the seasonally-decorated Snoqualmie Depot, and children receive a small gift from Santa.

SNOWFLAKE LANE

Through December 24 – Experience all your favorite characters, with falling snow, beautiful lights, delightful holiday music, and better viewing along the extended parade route.

THE NUTCRACKER – PACIFIC NORTHWEST BALLET

Through December 28 – George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® promises the magic that makes the holidays. Tchaikovsky’s cherished score played live by the PNB Orchestra, gorgeous scenery and costumes.

THE NUTCRACKER – EVERGREEN CITY BALLET

Through December 17 – Spend the holidays with magic—spend them with The NutcrackerEnjoy a night out with your family to see this spell binding production at either the hour-long or full-length performances in one of three locations. For young audiences, we have a special one-hour production.  

THE TWILIGHT ZONE LIVE

Through December 17 – It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. In its monumental 25th anniversary season, Theater Schmeater brings back the plays that made them famous when they present four episodes of the classic Rod Serling TV series “The Twilight Zone” live on stage.

FESTIVAL OF TREES

Through SAT – Gorgeous designer Christmas trees will be on display in the public areas of the Fairmont Olympic Hotel. Come view them at any time and read the inspiring stories of our featured Seattle Children’s Hospital patients.

NEWSIES

Through December 31 – Sure to be one of the most spectacular dance shows in Village Theatre history, this high-energy Disney musical combines Broadway-caliber entertainment with the story and tunes from the beloved cult-classic film.  

REINDEER FESTIVAL

Through December 24 – Bring the whole family to be the first to visit Santa’s reindeer, Dasher and Blitzen, do some holiday shopping, and see the nursery beautifully decorated for the season!

MR. POPPER’S PENGUINS

Through December 31 – Make your way to SCT this holiday season for a wintry treat, fit for the whole family. Fans of A Year with Frog and Toad and Harold and the Purple Crayon will love what is sure to be a new holiday classic.

WONDERLAND

Through January 28 – Seattle’s classic Winter show is back at Can Can Kitchen & Cabaret in the Historic Pike Place Market. A glittering parade of nostalgia, exploding with dance, laughter, and all the cheer of yesteryear.

FREE WEEKEND WALKS
Through November – Tours are tailored for an adult audience, and the topic changes monthly. See the calendar below for details. Tour groups gather in front of the Graham Visitors Center.

MONA LISA HEIST
All Month – 165th Ave, Redmond: Take part in the most famous heist of the 20th century! An amazing adventure in the Louvre. Go through the security room, deactivating clever alarms and security systems. Get to the exhibit hall filled with ancient artifacts and paintings. Finally, steal the main exhibit piece, The Mona Lisa! Can you complete this mission in less than 60 minutes?

WINE & CHOCOLATE PAIRING
EVERY THURS, FRI, SAT – Sweet Decadence Wine & Chocolate Bar: This fun, casual and educational experience will help novice wine drinkers develop a new appreciation for different wines while more experienced wine drinkers can get a “grape” experience as well.

LASER LIGHT SHOWS
ALL MONTH – Experience the largest and longest operating domed laser theater in the world.

SEATTLE SMASH PUTT
All Month (FRI-SUN) – Putt-putt like you’ve never played it, going out with a bang in a funky new pop-up space in Downtown Seattle. Experience brand new crazy contraptions presented with a collection of your favorites from our nostalgic past! Pacific Science Center.

SEATTLE FARMERS MARKETS
Visit neighborhood farmers markets selling produce exclusively from Washington state farmers. Check out what’s going on at the Ballard, Madrona & Wallingford’s Farmer’s Markets.

TOURS & ACTIVITIES
ALL MONTH – Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Visitor Center: Through engaging and thought-provoking exhibits, parents and children dive into some of the world’s toughest challenges and learn how to act on their own ideas and solutions. Families can expect hands-on exhibits and spaces to create, explore, and discuss.
